Mysore/Mysuru: A pre-conference workshop for the 13th IEEE International Conference on “Cloud computing in emerging markets” was organised on Mar. 16 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in city.
The workshop was aimed to engage researchers under the mentorship of subject matter experts from professional and academic backgrounds to refine submitted research proposals.
The event featured a series of keynote sessions delivered by experts. Dr. Mahesh Rao, President of TiE, Mysuru Chapter and CEO of Aashaya Design Solutions, explored the “Use of predictive analytics in healthcare,” offering valuable insights into data analytic applications.
Gurvinder Singh, Senior Solutions Architect at IBM and Yatin Gawde, Senior Architect at Accenture, presented “genAI introduction with WatsonX,” discussing integrating artificial intelligence into various domains. Ravichandra Kulkarni, Dean of Research at MIT Mysuru and Chair of IEEE Mysuru, delved into “the overlay of AI-IoT-EV: Gateway to amazing possibilities.”
Kiran Puthukudy, Chief Architect & DevOps Leader at CYAAG Technologies, discussed “nextgen social impact with IEEE sustainable development platform.” Ramakrishna Reddy, Principal Architect at RedHat, and Barnali Bhattacharya, Senior Architect at Accenture, shared insights on “cloud-native development with red hat open shift.” Dr. Sheela Siddappa, Director of Kyndryl India, concluded the sessions with a presentation on “AI and job,” addressing the intersection of AI and employment.
Srinivas Varadarajan, CEO & Founder of Vigyan Data Labs, Mysuru & Sivakumar Dakshinamoorthy, AI Security Researcher and Head at Lenovo, India, contributed their perspectives. The event attracted significant interest, with over 250 submissions. Awards were presented to recognise excellence in various categories. Dr. T. S. Mohan from Pragnyan Data Labs, Bengaluru and Member of Conference Steering Committee, Prof. Shekar Babu, Associate Dean of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus and Prof. G. Ravindranath, Principal, were present.
