Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will release the book ‘Mysuru-Chamarajanagar Rajakeeya Ithihasa’ (Political History of Mysuru-Chamarajanagar) authored by senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar at a function to be held at Kalamandira here on Dec. 8 at 4.30 pm.
District In-charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will be the chief guest. MLA Vasu will preside. Ministers Tanveer Sait, Dr. Geetha Mahadevaprasad, Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Marithibbegowda, MPs Pratap Simha, R. Dhruvanarayan and C.S. Puttaraju will be present.
The book, published by Chinthana Chithara, has 748 pages with 250 chapters. Priced at Rs.500 (original cost Rs.900), the book covers elections from 1952 to the recently held 2017 Nanjangud and Gundlupet bypolls.
CM’s itinerary: CM Siddharamaiah, who will be visiting the city tomorrow, will land at Mandakalli Airport at 10 am. He is scheduled to unveil the statue of former Minister K. Puttaswamy at Vidyavardhaka Engineering College premises in Gokulam and lay foundation stone for new Block of the college.
Thereafter, he will visit D. Sanjeevaiah Memorial College on 100 ft Road, Vijayanagar 1st Stage at 12.30 pm, where he will lay the foundation stone for the college building.
Later, Siddharamaiah will take part in a book release programme and stay overnight in the city. He will leave for Anekal the next morning (Saturday) at 10.30 am.
