Badami: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah yesterday filed nomination papers from his second seat of Badami in Bagalkot district. Siddharamaiah had filed his nomination from his first seat Chamundeshwari constituency in Mysuru district on Apr.20.
Even as Siddharamaiah filed his nomination from Badami, Ballari MP B. Sriramulu too filed his nomination as the BJP candidate from Badami on Tuesday.
For Sriramulu too, Badami is the second seat, he has already filed nomination from Molakalmuru (ST) seat in Chitradurga district.

Both Siddharamaiah and Sriramulu put up a show of strength in Badami on the occasion of filing nominations with a large number of their supporters turning up.
Addressing a rally after filing nomination, Siddharamaiah said he will win from both Badami and Chamundeshwari.
BJP Candidate Sriramulu said that he was certain of his victory as Siddharamaiah was contesting from Badami fearing rejection from the people of Chamundeshwari.
