Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah is on a two-day tour of the district from today. The CM, who landed at Government Junior College helipad in Periyapatna at 11.30 am today, laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects in the town.
He then proceeded to Hunsur town by road to launch development works at 3 pm. He will leave Hunsur at 6 pm and reach Mysuru by road. At 7 pm, he will inaugurate the hostel rooms and skill development rooms at Shakthidhama premises on Ooty Road and will stay overnight in the city.
Busy schedule: On Mar.10, Siddharamaiah will inaugurate a slew of projects that have been lined up for him by the District Administration. The CM will take part in the draw of lots for allotment of site numbers at Lalithadripura North Layout at a programme organised by MUDA at Lalithadrinagar at 10.30 am, following which, he will inaugurate the new DC’s office that has come up in German Press premises in Siddarthanagar at 11 am. He will inaugurate the new auditorium at Administrative Training Institute (ATI) and will lay the foundation stone for Gandhi Bhavan in the same premises.
He will thereafter dedicate the newly built 350-bed Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research at 12 noon and will also inaugurate the Nephro Urology Unit at 12.30 pm followed by the inauguration of Trauma Centre and Super Speciality Hospital. The programme will be held from 12 to 2.30 pm .
The CM will lay the foundation stone for upgradation of Government PU College located in Morarji Desai Residential School premises at Hosakote in Nanjangud taluk and later inaugurate KPTCL’s 66/11 KV Gas Insulin Station in Saraswathipuram .
This will be followed by laying the foundation stone for 100-bed upgradation of MCH Hospital and will lay the foundation stones for Yoga College, boys hostel at Kuvempunagar and Thonachikoppal and Soligara Bhavana at Kyatamaranahalli in city. Siddharamaiah will later lay the foundation stone for Gandhi Vichara Parishat at the MUDA site close to Apollo Hospital at 3.30 pm, following which he will take part in the Centenary celebrations and inauguration of the new building of the Muslim Co-operative Bank on New Sayyaji Rao Road at 4.30 pm.
The CM will thereafter inaugurate the new City Police Commissioner’s Office building at 6 pm, and will fly back to Bengaluru from Mysore Airport at 8 pm.
