CM’s daughter-in-law seeks Police protection as vandals ransack her residence

Bengaluru: Miscreants vandalised the premises of Chief Minster Siddharamaiah’s  daughter-in-law’s residence at Malleswaram here.

Smitha Rakesh, wife of the CM’s late son Rakesh, resides along with her mother and children at RSS Villa on 9th Main, 18th Cross, Malleswaram.

Smitha Rakesh, in her complaint lodged with Malleswaram Police said that she was fast asleep in her house on the night of June 15, when she was awakened by the continuous barking of dogs at   about 2 am.

She also heard a loud noise from the verandah, which scared her from coming out of the house. Later,  when she woke up in the morning, she found the verandah lights shattered to pieces and 4-5 jack-fruits fallen from the tree in the premises.

In the past too, miscreants had vandalised her premises two times which has scared her family and as such, she is seeking Police protection, Smitha said in her complaint.

The Malleswaram Police, who visited her residence, have retrieved footages from the CCTV cameras on the road for clues.

Following the complaint, the Police have provided security to Smitha’s residence.
