CM’s wife performs daily puja at Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s wife is doing daily trips to the Chamundeshwari Temple to pray for the well-being and political career of her husband and son Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah. Both father and son are expected to contest 2018 Assembly polls.

While Siddharamaiah is likely to contest from Chamundeshwari constituency, Yathindra will contest from Varuna.

CM’s wife Parvathi Siddharamaiah is performing pujas every day during Navaratri festivities as this period is considered auspicious to seek Goddess Chamundeshwari’s blessings. Parvathi, who comes from an orthodox background, had kept away from public appearance with Siddharamaiah for decades.

However, there were a few occasions in which Siddharamaiah visited the temple with family and also built Siddarameshwara temple in Siddaramanahundi, his native village. However, Parvathi used to visit Chamundeshwari temple quietly and have darshan along with general public during previous years.

The CM’s wife leaves home early and attends the puja rituals accompanied by over eight members of the family including daughter-in-law to the temple. They have made it a point that they are in the temple at 7 am and have darshan as soon as the sanctum sanctorum is opened.
