Codava Quest for Autonomy: Rajnath Singh reciprocates to Dr. Subramanian Swamy’s letter

Mysuru: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has reciprocated to the letter addressed to him by former Union Minister and present Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Subramanian Swamy, pressing for favourable consideration of the representation made by Codava National Council (CNC).

In his letter dated Dec. 20, 2017, Rajnath Singh said, “ Dear Dr. Swamy Ji, I have received your letter dated Nov.14, 2017 enclosing a copy of press release regarding Codava Quest for Autonomy issued by Codava National Council.”

It may be recalled, Dr. Swamy, who had addressed a massive gathering of thousands of people  at the 27th Codava National Day organised by CNC at  Gandhi Maidan in Madikeri on Nov. 26, had assured that he would help Kodagu get Special Autonomy Status.

N.U. Nachappa, President of CNC, who is spearheading the Codava Quest for Autonomy, hopes that Rajnath Singh will definitely do his best in considering CNC’s insistence for Codava Land Autonomy. He also thanked Dr. Subramanian Swamy for keeping his promise made to Kodavas at Madikeri  on Nov. 26, 2017.
