Mysuru: Young Alumni Meet 4.0 of JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) organised by its Placement and Training Centre was held recently. The Meet aimed at connecting accomplished alumni with current students to guide them towards successful careers in industry and technology.
Nearly 200 young alumni from globally reputed organisations and several other leading multinational companies took part.
Besides, alumni from various technical and leadership roles interacted with 2027 passing-out batch students and shared valuable industry insights, career guidance and mentoring support.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of JSS STU, emphasised on the importance of continuous learning and adapting to new technologies even after graduating from campus and entering the corporate world.
He highlighted that in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, students and professionals must constantly upgrade their skills to remain relevant and competitive.
The keynote interaction was delivered by Shripati Bhat, a distinguished alumnus of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) and a Technology & Product Leader. He spoke about the fast-changing nature of technology and the pace at which innovation is transforming industries.
A new initiative titled ‘Coffee with Alumni’ was also launched. Under this initiative, students will get an opportunity to interact with distinguished alumni every month through informal career planning and mentoring sessions. The meet also highlighted the importance of alumni mentorship during challenging recruitment times, where industry expectations are continuously evolving.
Dr. M.N. Nagendra Prasad, Dean, Alumni Association, Dr. S. A. Dhanaraj, Registrar, Dr. C. Nataraju, Dean, Engineering, Dr. M. Pradeep, Training and Placement Officer, Prof. Roopa Priya from Training and Placement, along with various Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members and students were present.
