Mysuru: The natural capacity to conceive a child does not come easily to everyone. Both men and women can experience infertility and take steps to improve it. For those couples who find difficulty to conceive, alternate options of family building are available. Many couples with fertility problems are hesitant to go to a professional and get a fertility test done. With medical advances in the field of reproductive science, even today many couples are sceptical in considering IVF as an option, when they find it difficult to conceive naturally. However, IVF treatment in a good hospital at the able hands of a trained doctor is most likely to ensure positive results.
Columbia Asia Hospital, Mysuru, successfully completed their first case of IVF conception. The baby was born on Aug. 28, after 37 weeks of conception.
The baby weighed 3.035 kgs at birth. It was a C-Section delivery and both the baby and the mother are doing well.
