Gonikoppal: In the wake of alleged appearance of a few naxals in Tirunelli in Kerala recently, combing operation was intensified at Irpu region in South Kodagu under the guidance of Anti-Naxal Force SP Arunanksha Giri yesterday.

The SP inspected Kurchi and Kutta at the foot of Brahmagiri Hill bordering Kerala.

About five teams have been constituted to comb the areas daily.
