COMEDK UGET-2023, Uni-GAUGE entrance exams on May 28

Exams to be held online at 400 centres across 150 cities in country including 4 centres in Mysuru

Mysore/Mysuru: COMEDK UGET-2023 and Uni-GAUGE Entrance examinations will be held on May 28 in two sessions from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm. It is a combined entrance exam for admissions to over 150 Engineering Colleges and over 50 reputed Private and Deemed Universities, respectively.

Addressing a press meet at ComedKares Innovation Hub on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road in city recently, Dr. S. Kumar, Executive Secretary at COMEDK, said that the entrance exam will be conducted for colleges affiliated with the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA)  and Uni-GAUGE Member Universities offering  BE/ B.Tech programmes.

Candidates may register online by logging on to www.comedk.org or www.unigauge.com before April 24. The application fee for COMEDK UGET is Rs. 1,800 and for Uni-GAUGE is Rs. 1,600. The combined fee for both the exam is Rs. 2,950.

Four exam Centres in Mysuru

This year, as many as 1,00,000 students are expected to appear for the examination which will be conducted online in over 150 cities across India at over 400 Centres. The exams will be held at four Centres in Mysuru city. Mock tests (practice exam) for those who have already registered for the entrance exams are conducted.

ComedKares initiative

This year, COMEDK has also launched ComedKares, an initiative that will assist students from participating institutions in becoming job-ready through skill enhancement courses.

ComedKares has set up eight Innovation Hubs in Karnataka, four of which are in Bengaluru and the rest are located at Mysuru, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru and Belagavi.

Programmes like Rapid Prototyping, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Internet of Things (IoT) are offered at the Innovation Hubs.  With this initiative, Karnataka has also become the first State to introduce skill-based training to Private Engineering Colleges.

COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) is an evaluation test for merit determination of students who seek admissions to the Member Institution. Presently about 150 Engineering Colleges, which offer around 20,000 seats, are affiliated to COMEDK.

Uni-GAUGE is an online entrance exam platform for admission to Under Graduate programmes at leading Private and Deemed Universities across India. Uni-GAUGE is powered by ERA Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation has been continuously working towards the holistic improvement of the education sector and skill development in higher education sector in India.
