Commissioners yet to vacate official residences

FLORA-FOUNTAIN: The mud-and-waste filled fountain right in front of DC’s Bungalow now sports an ornate look. Fertile black soil was brought in from outside to create the flower bed.

Mysore/Mysuru: Both former Mysuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rohini Sindhuri and Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Shilpa Nag are yet to vacate their official residences in Mysuru following sudden transfers late on  Saturday night.

While Rohini Sindhuri has been posted as Commissioner for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments in Bengaluru, Shilpa Nag has been posted as Director (e-Governance) at the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department.

Speaking to Star of Mysore this morning, Sindhuri said that it might take two or three days for her to vacate her official residence ‘Jala Sannidhi’ on Hunsur Road. “It will take two to three days and I am staying in the DC’s bungalow now. My colleagues at DC Office are planning a send-off and also there are last-minute preparations,” she said.

Likewise, Shilpa Nag has not yet vacated her official residence near Vani Vilas Water Works near Yadavagiri Railway Quarters.

As such, Dr. Bagadi Goutham, who has replaced Sindhuri, as Mysuru DC, has been staying in the Government Guest House and the new MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy is at present staying in the PWD Guest House at Nazarbad.
