Computer lab donated to Govt. School for Visually Impaired

Mysore/Mysuru: Samarthanam, a leading nor-profit organisation, working for the visually impaired and underprivileged people across the country, in association with Signify India Company has donated a computer lab for City’s Government Boys School for the Blind under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative ‘Jagmag Patashala.’

District Welfare Officer for the Disabled D. Mohan, Ramana Mannars, Head of Samarthanam Shivaram Deshpande, School Superintendent Satish Kyatanahalli, Signify Company’s Imran Khan and Mysuru Division Coordinator Shivaraju jointly inaugurated the Computer Lab at by cutting the tape.

Speaking on the occasion Mohan said that the physically disabled must learn more about technology and its proper usage. “This will help in their educational progress. Every one should get access to modern technologies,” he added.

Samarthanam Head Shivaram Deshapande and Ramana Mannars also spoke. School Superintendent Shivram Kyatanahalli presided and advised the physically disabled to make use of their talent to achieve in this competitive world.

Samarthanam Mysuru Division Coordinator Shivaraju, Southern Star Construction’s Bharat, Srileela, Bhramarambha, Brunda Bai, Padma, teachers Arun Kumar and others were present at the function.
