Former Minister S.R. Mahesh tells newly elected MLA C.P. Yogeshwar
Mysuru: Retorting to newly elected Congress MLA from Channapatna C.P. Yogeshwar’s (CPY) reported remarks that he would soon bring some of JD(S) MLAs into the Congress fold, former Minister and JD(S) leader S.R. Mahesh has asked CPY to first pay attention to disgruntled Congress Legislators, before making any attempts to ‘purchase’ JD(S) Legislators.
Addressing a press meet at his office on Ramavilas Road here this morning, Mahesh said that the people of Channapatna have blessed Yogeshwar and he should serve the people of the Constituency for 3 more years.
Quoting CPY’s past statement that there were 30-35 disgruntled MLAs in the Congress, Mahesh said Yogeshwar very well knows who they are and as such, he should first disclose their names.
Maintaining that CPY was one of the main architects who brought down H.D. Kumaraswamy led JD(S)-Congress Coalition Government over five years ago, Mahesh said, the people are aware about the personality of the Congress MLA. “JD(S) is a regional party and the party MLAs are firmly supportive of the party Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. Yogeshwar should first concentrate on saving the Congress Government before making any moves on dealing with JD(S) MLAs,” he said.
