Concert at Ganabharathi

Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised Sugunamma Dayalu & G. Mahalakshmamma Memorial music concert by Vid. K.S.  Vishnudev on June 24 at 5.30 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar. He will be accompanied by Vid. H.N. Bhaskar on violin, Vid. K.U. Jayachandra Rao on mridanga and Vid. G.S. Ramanujan on ghata.

Profile: Vid. Vishnudev hails from a family of musicians. An A-grade artiste in Akashvani, he started his early music training from his mother, aunt and advanced music practice under Vid. Narayana Namboodhari, Vid. Neyveli Santhanagopalan and Vid. P. S. Narayanaswamy.

Vid. H.N. Bhaskar is the son of well-known artiste Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy. An A-grade artiste of AIR, he started his musical practice under his parents and advanced training under Padma Bhusan M.S. Gopalakrishnan.

Vid. K.U. Jayachandra Rao, hailing from a musical family, is the son of Prof. K. Raghavendra Rao (flautist) and K.R. Prema Rao (violinist). He started his training for mridanga at the age of 5 under Vid. Trichur E. P. Narayana Pisharody and advanced training from Vid. Palakkad T.R. Rajamani.

Vid. G.S. Ramanujan, a student of Vid. P.G. Lakshminarayan, is an expert in both mridanga and ghata.
