Concert at Vasudevacharya’s house

Mysuru: Vid. K. Ramesh, a senior vocalist and a reputed music educator, will be presenting a vocal concert at the residence of Mysore Vasudevacharya near Agrahara on Sept. 14 at 10.30 am. He will be accompanied by Vid.  Rupanagudi Ratna Teja  on violin and Vid. Pranav Subrahmanya on mridanga.

Vid. K. Ramesh initially learnt music under the guidance of Vidu. Subhadra Bai at Venkatappa School of Music in Ballari. He had his advanced training under luminaries Vid. H.V. Krishnamurthy and Vid. Salem Sundaresan, and continues to refine his art under the tutelage of Vid. Malladi Suribabu. An MA in Music, he has been graded B-High in Akashvani. He has performed at many prestigious Sabhas across India, including Madras Music Academy. Beyond his vibrant performance career, Vid. Ramesh has dedicated himself to teaching vocal music.

Currently being under the tutelage of  Dr. Manjunath and Vid. Nagaraj, Vid. Ratna Teja is an MA (Music) from University of Mysore. He has accompanied many senior artistes.

Vid. Pranav Subrahmanya, earlier a student of Vid. H.L. Shivashankar Swamy, is presently under the tutelage of  Vid. H.S. Sudhindra. He has received scholarships for mridanga from the Ministry of Culture, GoI and from Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy. He has secured many awards including the one at Spirit of Youth Fest-2024, in Madras Music Academy. He has performed with leading musicians at many prestigious Sabhas.
