Mysore/Mysuru: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr. B.S. Manjunatha Swamy has instructed the officials concerned to repeat the Economic Census exercise once again following reports of discrepancies found in collected data during the Seventh Economic Census conducted under city limits.
Presiding over the District-level Co-ordination Committee meeting on Tuesday at Deputy Commissioner’s Office to review the Seventh Economic Census, organised by Common Services Centres, he said, “for the first time, the entire Census was conducted on a digital platform, but due to the discrepancies found in the collected data at city and taluk levels, the report submitted by Common Services Centres has been rejected in this first meeting.”
District Statistical Officer N. Krishnamurthy, Assistant Director of Statistics Department M. Prakash and other departmental heads were present.
