During the valedictory of the State-level Convention on Oct. 8 at 9.30 am, ‘Ganakala Bhushana’ title and Sri Vadiraja Award will be conferred on Vidu. T.S. Vasanthamadhavi and ‘Ganakala Sri’ title and Ramasudha Award on Vid. B.C. Manjunath.
While Sri Vadiraja Award carries a cash prize of Rs. 30,000, Ramasudha Award carries a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.

PROFILE:Vidu. T.S. Vasanthamadhavi started learning music at the age of 5 under the expert tutelage of Vid. Sreenivasa Raghavachar and Vid. Gopalakrishna. She later obtained advanced training from Ganakala Sindhu Ganakala Kushala D. Subbaramaiah.
A multi-faceted personality, she is a performer, composer, musicologist, organiser and teacher par excellence. She has made tremendous contributions to several areas of Karnatak music.
Vid. B.C. Manjunath is a competent and dynamic young artiste with outstanding credentials. Recipient of several acclaimed awards, he has a noteworthy track record of performances at prestigious platforms in India and overseas with world renowned artistes of different genre. He is a sensitive musician and is well-versed with Indian Classical, World Music, Modern Jazz, Contemporary Dance, Contemporary Classical Music, Indifusion and many more styles.
