Congress first list of candidates likely to be announced in April first week

Bengaluru: Even as the Congress State Election Committee, which is meeting in the State Capital today, is expected to finalise the party’s candidates for at least 110 seats before it is sent to the Central Election Committee in New Delhi, the Congress High Command is most likely to announce its first list of party candidates for about 130 Assembly seats, in the  first week of April.

Meanwhile, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who ended his two-day tour of Mysuru region yesterday, is said to have met senior party functionaries from five districts of the region — Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Chikmagalur — at Mysuru yesterday aand reviewedthe poll preparedness in these districts.
