Congress slams BJP’s fight for power in current Covid crisis

Mysore/Mysuru: KPCC Spokesperson M. Lakshmana has questioned BJP leaders for fighting over change in guard at a time when people were dying due to lack of treatment in Hospitals in the State.

Addressing a press conference here yesterday, he said that according to information given by the Central Government, as many as 2.5 crore people have become jobless in the last 48 days. So far, the Corona positivity rate and case fatality rate have not come down. In this current crisis, the BJP leaders were fighting over the Chief Minister’s post instead of going to the rescue of people in distress, he said.

Inquiry by retired Judge

He demanded an inquiry by a retired Judge into the allegations levelled against each other by two IAS Officers Rohini Sindhuri and Shilpa Nag and also reasons behind their transfer. Shilpa resigned after making allegations against Rohini. Subsequently, the State Government had transferred both of them. It was said that land mafia and medical mafia was behind Rohini’s transfer. An impartial inquiry will bring out truth behind the transfer, he noted.

The Congress leader slammed Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha for claiming the credit for overall developmental works in both districts as if everything happened during his tenure.
