Conman cheats woman of Rs. 1.23 lakh

Mysore/Mysuru: A conman has cheated one Vijayalakshmi, a resident of Janatanagar in city, to the tune of Rs. 1.23 lakh on the pretext of getting her a loan under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.

A person who called Vijayalakshmi, told her that he would get her a loan under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, obtained her documents on his WhatsApp and also got Rs. 1,23,178 transferred to his bank account as various charges and has thus cheated her.

A case has been registered at city’s CEN Police Station.
