Mysuru: The newly-built Mount Carmel Church at Kamanakerehundi will be consecrated on Saturday (Feb. 16). Mar Antony Kariyil, Bishop of Mandya, will consecrate the church at 9.30 am. Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhappilly, Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Mysuru, will be the main celebrant for the Eucharistic celebration. Rt. Rev. Dr. K.A. William, the Bishop of Mysuru, will deliver the homily. Rev. Dr. Varghese Kelamparambil CMI, Provincial, St. Paul’s Province and Rev. Dr. Varakumar CPPS, Vicariate Director, Precious Blood Missionaries also will be present. There will be a public function after the Consecration.
On Sunday (Feb. 17), the Feast day, the newly-ordained Priests of the Diocese of Mandya and CMI St. Paul’s Province will celebrate the Solemn High Mass at 9.30 am followed by the grand procession and Shinkarimela performance.
