Mysore/Mysuru: Constitution Day was observed at St. Philomena’s College with the theme ‘The Responsibility of Safeguarding Democracy in the Future Lies in the Hands of Youth Open Dialogue.’
The event was jointly organised by the Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC), Internal Quality Assurance Cell & Institution Innovation Cell in collaboration with the Daari Foundation, Mysuru, to instill constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity among students and staff.
Veteran actor Dr. Mukhyamantri Chandru, in his inaugural address, emphasised the precious right of voting and urged youths to make informed electoral choices to elect good representatives and safeguard the Constitution.
Dr. Nagendra Parashar, former Vice-Chancellor of Presidency University, Bengaluru and Director of R.V. University, Mysuru Campus, also spoke.
Rev. Dr. Lourdu Prasad Joseph, Rector/Manager of St. Philomena’s College presided.
