Construct footpath over cable lines on Kukkarahalli bridge

Sir,

The picture above shows how KPCL has laid power cables adjacent to the kerb of the bridge near Southern Gate of Kukkarahalli Lake. It would have been ideal if the cable lines had been laid away from the railing supported on a separate structure as done on the adjacent bridge.

However now that it has been done, the best alternative is to construct a footpath on the bridge to cover the cable line as suitably by leaving space for drainage of water.

There was a dire necessity for the footpath to aid safety of pedestrians unlike now when they are exposed to the danger by reckless drivers on the busy road.

On the other bridge there is already a footpath though the width is compromised by accommodating mobile cable lines on the footpath by covering it with ugly zig-zag concrete covering. It is also observed there is no effort to clean the accumulated soil and other debris like old footwears. Besides the surface needs repair as it is pitted and uneven, looking extremely ugly. This comes as a contrast to the clean city tag. Hope, early action will be taken to attend to this.
