Control high beam light during night driving

Sir,

As we welcome the Mysuru Police Drive on ISI-marked helmets, I also would like them to take necessary steps to control high beam lighting by both four-wheelers and two-wheelers during night in Mysuru city limits.

Most of the roads in Mysuru are low lit (like Gangothri Road, Kukkarahalli Kere Road, Vishwamanava Double Road, Ring Road) and the headlights of the new gen vehicles are extremely bright. Under the circumstances, it becomes very difficult to drive when vehicles from opposite side come with high beam lighting. Particularly, senior citizens like me are practically unable to drive safely.

Many a times, I have stopped my two-wheeler on road side for a few seconds and then proceeded. I feel this issue does not need more elaboration. On behalf of a large number of motorists, I request the City Traffic Police to concentrate on this and avoid possible mishaps and facilitate safe night driving.
