Controversial remark: Swamiji gets bail

Srirangapatna: Sri Rishikumara Swamiji of Kali Mutt in Chikkamagalur, who was arrested by Srirangapatna Police for uploading controversial statements on Srirangapatna’s Jamiya Masjid and remanded to judicial custody by the JMFC Court, has been granted conditional bail yesterday.

Judge Ayesha B. Majida, who heard the bail petition yesterday, granted conditional bail with Rs. 1 lakh surety and surety from a local person besides asking the Swamiji to sign the register at Srirangapatna Town Police Station on every Sundays. The Swamiji was released from the District Prisons at 7 pm yesterday.
