Mysuru: The All India Insurance Pensioners Association (AIIPA) will be hosting its 9th quarterly All India Convention in Mysuru from June 2 to 4.

Announcing this at a press meet here, the Invitation Committee President Sabiha Bhumigowda, who is also a former Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Women’s Akkamahadevi University, Vijayapura, said that Mumbai’s Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) faculty Prof. R. Ramkumar will inaugurate the convention at Hotel Rio Meridian, New Sayyaji Rao Road, at 10 am on June 2.

The Association’s senior leader and centenarian Chandrashekar Bose will be felicitated on the occasion, she said.

Sabiha further said that the 3-day convention will deliberate on issues like uniform pension hike, abolition of NPS, re-introduction of fixed deposit scheme, among other things.

Invitation Committee office-bearers S. Sridhar, Kunhi Krishnan, Bhaskar Somayaji, B.S. Mahadevaiah, N.P. Umapathy, C.R. Krishnamurthy and Vrishabharaju were present at the press meet.
