Mysore/Mysuru: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Karnataka, will be organising Spoorthi Prerana Convention on Jan. 15 at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium on the occasion of BSP National President Mayawati’s nation-wide birthday celebrations, said BSP State President M. Krishnamurthy.
Addressing mediapersons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, Krishnamurthy said that the event will be inaugurated by former Rajya Sabha MP and BSP National Co-ordinator Rajaram at 10.30 am.
“Party workers from Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and others districts will take part in the Convention,” he said and added that the party had not collected donations to organise the event but had collected funds from the party works.
Taking a dig at the Congress State Government, Krishnamurthy questioned whether CM Siddaramaiah’s record was truly appreciated by public adding that the State Government had completely neglected the development of the State giving emphasis to Guarantee Schemes.
“The State Government has been cheating minorities and Dalits by misusing the funds reserved for SC/ST development. There is severe dearth of teachers in various Universities across the State. Many Government Schools are being closed. The State Government should take immediate measures to appoint teachers and also fill-up three lakh backlog vacancies including doctors in Government Hospitals,” he added.
