Cop dies of accident injuries

Mysore/Mysuru: A City Armed Reserve (CAR) Police Head Constable has succumbed to the injuries suffered in an accident that occurred on M.G. Road in the city on Dec. 8.

The deceased is identified as Manjunath (46), who was posted in the City Control Room and a resident of Gayathripuram in city.

A native of Arkalgud in Hassan, his last rites were held today.

Manjunath was reportedly riding a two-wheeler, which was allegedly hit by an autorickshaw from the rear side. He had suffered severe head injuries and was admitted at a private hospital, where  he underwent a surgery. However, he succumbed yesterday.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, a large number of relatives and friends. K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case.
