Mysuru: Udayagiri Police have registered a case against a person for storing sandalwood billets in his house illegally.
The person against whom the case has been registered has been identified as Jaffar Shariff, a resident of Shanthinagar in city.
Udayagiri Police, acting on a tip off from the Mobile Forest Squad, raided the house of Jaffar and found sandalwood billets weighing about 6kg in the house. As Jaffar failed to produce documents during enquiry, the Cops seized the sandalwood billets besides registering a case.
