Mysuru: Mysuru South Police, who raided a farmhouse where a party was going on with speakers blasting music, have seized liquor bottles which were stored beyond the permitted quantity besides registering a case.
Following information from the public that a party was going on at a farmhouse near Parasayyanahundi on H.D. Kote Road with party goers playing musing loudly, Mysuru South Inspector Shekar and staff raided the farmhouse on Saturday at about 11.30 pm, during which the Cops found five huge speakers blasting music during the party.
As soon as the Police arrived at the farmhouse, a few people fled from the spot while a few told the Police that it was a small wedding party and no illegal activities were going on.
The Police, who inspected the farmhouse, found liquor bottler that were stored beyond the permitted quantity, seized the liquor bottles and registered a case under the Excise Act.
Inspector Shekar, speaking to Star of Mysore, said that as they received information from the public that a party was going on at the farmhouse using huge speakers creating loud noise, they raided the farmhouse and found small quantity of liquor.
A case has been registered in this regard and the farmhouse owner and those partying were advised by the Police.
