Cops’ street fight

City Police Commissioner suspends both Police personnel

Mysore/Mysuru: Two Police personnel, who had fought on the road over trivial reasons causing embarrassment to the Police Department yesterday have been suspended by the City Police Commissioner this morning.

The Cops who have been kept under suspension are Devaraja Police Station Head Constable Umesh and City Armed Reserve (CAR) Constable Dhananjaya, who was deployed as the driver of the 112 Emergency vehicle.

Yesterday at about 10 am, Umesh and Dhananjaya left in the 112 Emergency vehicle for patrolling but they had forgotten to bring the duty chart, which irked Umesh, who reportedly scolded Dhananjaya for forgetting to get the duty chart.

Soon a verbal fight broke out between the two near Vasanth Mahal in Nazarbad. As the wordy duel escalated, both of them began to allegedly hurl abuses on each other and began pushing each other in full public view, videos of which have gone viral on social media.

Later, both of them lodged complaints against each other at Nazarbad Police Station yesterday.

As the videos went viral on social media platforms and public criticising both, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar suspended both of them this morning.
