Cops trace ‘missing valuables’ in a jiffy at Chamundi Hill

Mysore/Mysuru: In the last 10 days, Police personnel attached to K.R. Police Station Outpost at Chamundi Hill, have acted swiftly, by tracing and returning the lost valuables to the devotees.

In one case, a devotee who came out of Goddess Chamundeshwari Temple, after having darshan of the deity, was shocked to find her purse containing Rs. 25,000 cash missing. Another devotee had lost purse with Rs. 10,000 and the third complaint was related to the losing of a cell phone.

Acting swiftly, the Police announced on the microphone about lost valuables, besides repeatedly calling the mobile number to trace the device. They also monitored the CCTV footages to locate the exact spot, where the valuables had gone missing. Eventually, the Police succeeded in tracing all those articles.

With this Police brought smiles on the faces of those devotees, who had almost lost hopes on getting their valuables back and safe, as it is common to lose valuables either to thieves or the slip of hand, during heavy rush at those religious tourist spots, where the visitors density is high.
