Corona cases to decline in one week, says S.T. Somashekar

Mysore/Mysuru: Co-operation and District Minister S.T. Somashekar said all symptomatic patients are sent to the Triage Centre for suitable medical advice.

Participating in a video-conference with Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa yesterday, he said the ongoing house-to-house health survey will be initiated for another round and all symptomatic patients will be sent to Triage. This measure was expected to bring down Corona Positivity Rate in the district in the next one week. The number of people recovering in Covid Care Centres has increased, he added.

The Minister said the District has achieved 100 percent in vaccinating first dose of vaccine to people above 45 years of age. The inoculation for beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 44 years will be given free of cost after June 21 as per the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham said the Corona cases are slowly decreasing and it is expected to reduce further by the end of this month.
