Corona Service Force formed to take care of rural people

Mysore/Mysuru: Coming  to the rescue of COVID infected people in rural areas, the Karnataka Sugarcane Growers Association has formed a COVID Seva Pade (Covid Service Force) for people in rural areas.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, Association President Kurubur Shanthakumar said that the Force will work from the Office of Raitha Mitra Farm Producer Company located near APMC at Bandipalya on Nanjangud road. 

Pointing out that this  Force has been constituted after consulting all like-minded personalities who have a flair for rural and social service, Shanthakumar said that a ten-member consultation team has been constituted for tele-medicine services to COVID affected. He further said that a Helpline  97400-69310 has been launched , to which the people can WhatsApp their queries.

The ten member team includes Dr. Shivakumar (94480-63168) of  Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Pratibha Pereira  (94482-82506), Dr. Shyamsundar (99005-68339), Dr. Babu (98456-12305), all from JSS Medical College, Mysuru, Dr.Yogesh (98867-20117) of K.R. Hospital, Dr. Revanna (70227- 99148) and Dr. Shashidhar (98450-31098) both of T. Narasipur Taluk Hospital. 

These doctors will provide  telemedicine services to rural people  from 6 am to 10 pm on all days, he added.
