Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Law College (JSS LC), Mysuru, in association with Surana & Surana International Attorneys (SSIA), Chennai, is organising the 21st Surana & Surana National Corporate Law Moot Competition on Mar. 23 and 24.
Nearly 22 teams from across the country, including 9 National Law Schools and 13 Premier Law Schools, are participating.
The competition will be inaugurated at the College premises in Kuvempunagar on Mar. 23 at 9.30 am by Prof. (Dr.) S. Surya Prakash, Vice-Chancellor, National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal.
Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijaykumar, former VC, NLIU, Bhopal, will preside. Prof. K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive, JSS LC, Preetham Surana, Partner and Head, Academic Initiatives, SSIA and Dr. S. Nataraju, Principal, JSS LC, will be present.
Preliminary and Quarter-final Rounds of the contest will be held on Mar. 23 and Semi-Final and Final Rounds on Mar. 24. Experts on International Taxation, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Judicial Officers and Advocates will be judging these rounds.
Justice B.S. Patil, Lokayukta, and former Judge of Karnataka High Court, G. Shivadass, Senior Advocate, Bengaluru and Gowramma, Presiding Officer, DRT II, Bengaluru, will be judging the final round.
The valedictory will be held on Mar. 24 after the final round. Justice B.S. Patil will deliver the valedictory address.
