Mysuru: Corporator SBM Manju was elected as representative to Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) at the elections held at the Nalwadi Krishnaraja Auditorium in Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) premises here this morning.
There were two candidates in the fray, SBM Manju supported by Congress and JD(S) and M.U. Subbaiah supported by the BJP, who filed their nomination papers. While Manju garnered 35 votes, Subbaiah managed 21 votes. Manju will have tenure for three years.
Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath was the Election Officer.
