Mysore/Mysuru: A couple, said to be depressed in life, committed suicide at their residence in Hootagalli on Wednesday.

The deceased are Umesh (30) and his wife Latha (26), both native of Maddur were married four years ago and were residing at Ashraya Layout in Hootagalli here. They were working as labourers.

The couple used to quarrel for petty reasons but the exact reason for them to take the extreme step is not known, said Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case.
