Man makes video blaming three persons for not returning money, shares video in WhatsApp groups

Mysore/Mysuru: A couple, alleging that three persons who had taken money from them were not repaying the same, recorded a video holding the trio responsible   for their miseries, and ended their lives by allegedly hanging at a room of a lodge after putting their three-year-old daughter to sleep.

The gruesome incident took place at a lodge in Alanahalli yesterday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Vishwanath (30) and his wife Sushmitha (25), resident of Yaraganahalli in city.

On Jan. 28, the couple, along with their kid checked into the lodge on Alanahalli Outer-Ring Road and yesterday early morning, Vishwanath, who recorded the video, shared the same in two WhatsApp groups and ended his life along with his wife, when their daughter was still sleeping.

In the video, Vishwanath has alleged that Shivu of Gandhinagar and Ramesh of NR Mohalla had to repay the money owed to him and also one Rajanna of Chooranahalli, who had taken money after pledging gold but had not repaid the money and hence they were committing suicide, according to Alanahalli Police Inspector G.S. Srikanth.

Acting on the complaint of deceased Vishwanath’s brother Shyamsundar, Alanahalli Police, who have registered a case are investigating.

Post-mortem was conducted at MMC&RI mortuary.
