Mysore/Mysuru: A couple from city have obtained Rs. 38 lakh loan after allegedly submitting fake documents to a bank and a case has been registered against the couple.
The couple, against whom the case has been registered, is C. Sundaresh and his wife Kala, residents of Paduvarahalli in city.
Details: On Apr. 28, 2021, the couple submitted documents pertaining to site number 24 located in south of Paduvarahalli to MCDCC Bank on Chamaraja Double Road and had obtained a loan of Rs. 38 lakh from the Bank. The couple had submitted documents such as the original documents of the site and Encumbrance Certificate (EC) of the said site obtained from the Sub-Registrar’s Office.
Even the Bank’s Advocate, who examined the site documents, had stated that the site is clear of any loans and the couple have the absolute rights on the property, according to the complaint lodged by the Bank’s in-Charge Branch Manager.
As the couple failed to repay the monthly instalment of the loan to the Bank, the Bank authorities in a bid to take legal action against the couple, got the documents verified at the Office of the Sub-Registrar during which they came to know that the documents were fake.
The Bank authorities then got the site documents verified at Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and here too they were told that the site documents were fake, the complaint stated.
Bank’s in-Charge Branch Manager J.V. Savitha has lodged a complaint at K.R. Police Station and the Police are investigating.
