Bengaluru: The Special Court for People’s Representatives at Bengaluru, on Tuesday, rejected the anticipatory bail plea of former MP Prathap Simha in connection with a case registered by T. Narasipur Police charging Simha of obstructing Police duties during ‘Ganeshotsava’ (Ganesha idols mass immersion) in T. Narasipur town of Mysuru district last month.
The Court, while rejecting the anticipatory bail plea of the ex-MP, observed that the charges made against him were serious in nature and as such, bail cannot be granted.
It may be noted that a few days ago, the Bengaluru Court had granted bail to Simha in connection with a caste abuse case registered by the T. Narasipur Police.
