COVID-19: Karnataka withdraws night curfew

The Karnataka Government on Friday announced the withdrawal of the night curfew with immediate effect imposed in the State to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The Government also permitted horse racing with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol.

A fresh order issued by Chief Secretary P. Ravi Kumar on  Nov. 5 states, “night curfew, which is being imposed from 10 pm to 5 am, is herewithwithdrawn.”

The night curfew was initially imposed in an order dated July 3 and was extended multiple times following the second wave of COVID-19. Now with a sharp dip in COVID-19 cases, the Government has withdrawn night curfew.
