25 vehicles seized, Rs. 1,16,700 fine collected on Jan. 14, 15
Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Police, who had enforced strict COVID guidelines to be followed during weekend curfew on Jan. 15 and 16 in city to prevent the spread of the deadly virus, cracked down on those violating the rules and seized a total of 25 vehicles besides registering 654 cases and collecting Rs. 1,16,700 as spot fines.
On Jan. 15, the Cops seized six vehicles which were found moving unnecessarily during the curfew and registered a total of 298 cases on those for not wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing besides collecting Rs. 55,750 as spot fines.
On Jan. 16, the Police seized 19 vehicles, registered 356 cases and collected a total of Rs. 60,950 as spot fines from COVID guidelines violators. Cases were registered under The Disaster Management Act-2005 and The Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act-2020.
