COVID impact: Industries and Commerce Dept. to simplify industry registration and statutory reports

Inputs sought from Industrialists, Tax Consultants, Industry Consultants

Mysore/Mysuru: The Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka, is in the process of simplifying the procedure of registrations and submission of reports.

Presently 23 Registrations and 34 Acts along with 186 reports are being maintained by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Due to Corona impact, most of the MSMEs have failed in complying with the statutory requirements of the Central and State Governments and the  MSMEs are pressuring the Governments to announce an exit policy for them.

In this background, the Industries and Commerce Department has now initiated to bring some reforms, simplification and minimising the submission of reports and registrations.

Industries Department has asked Mysore Industries Association (MIA) along with other industry organisations of Karnataka to give suggestions and proposals in this process.

MIA requests all Industrialists, Tax Consultants and Industry Consultants to give their inputs in this regard by email: mysurumia@gmail.com before Aug. 10. For more information call Mob: 99864-44654.

The existing Acts and Reports maintained by industries are in www.mysuruindustries.in  /  www.msmemysuru.com, according to a press release from Suresh Kumar Jain, Secretary, MIA.
