Mysore/Mysuru: The daylong cow milking contest, organised as part of Dasara, kicked off at J.K. Grounds this morning.
Over 40 cows from various parts of the state, including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hassan, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar districts, are participating in this competition.
The cows will be milked twice during the day, first at 6.30 am and then at 6.30 pm. The quantity of milk collected in kilograms on both occasions will be considered when determining the winners.
Veterinary officers are overseeing the contest, and sources indicate that a cow from Bengaluru achieved the highest milk yield in the morning session.
