Cricket betting: Three arrested, laptop, mobile phones, currency counting machine, Rs. 40.45 lakh cash seized

Mysuru:  The sleuths of City Crime Branch (CCB) and Hebbal Police, acting on a tip off, raided house No. 1743 on 80 ft. road in Hebbal 2nd Stage, 2nd Main and arrested three persons who were indulging in illegal cricket betting and have seized Rs. 40,45,350 cash, a laptop, six mobile phones and one currency counting machine from them.

The arrested have been identified as 38-year-old Alok Vaman Kale and 68-year-old Vaman Mothiram Kale, both residents of Hebbal and 27-year-old R. Chethan of Naganahalli, who had come to place the bet.

DCPs N. Vishnuvardhana and Dr. Vikram V. Amathe supervised CCB ACP B.R. Lingappa, CCB Inspectors H. Shivaprakash, N.G. Krishnappa, Shivaswamy, Rajashekar, Raghavendra (Metagalli Inspector), ASI Subash Chandra, R. Raju and staff Asgar Khan, D. Srinivas Prasad, Shivananjaiah, Kantharaju, Umesh, Diwakar, R. Shylesh, Gautham, Shivakumar and Rajesh in the nabbing and seizing operation.

A case has been registered at Hebbal Police Station in this regard.
