Karnataka Agamikas and Astrologers Cricket Association (KAACA) has organised a State-level Cricket Tournament for Priests (Agamikas) and Astrologers from July 27 to 29 at Railway Workshop Grounds on Manandavadi Road here.
Disclosing this at a press meet here on Tuesday, KAACA President Dr. Mugura Madhu Dikshit Guruji said that the Tournament would be launched by former Test Cricketer Javagal Srinath at 10 am. He further said that Sri Trinetra Mahanta Shivayogi Swamiji, Sri Yatishwara Shivacharya Swamiji and Sri Chandrashekar Shivacharya Swamiji will grace the occasion. Former DGP B.G. Jyotiprakash Mirji will preside. The logo of KAACA would be launched by District and City Brahmana Sangha President D.T. Prakash. Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President C.K. Mahendra will release the Ties Board. A friendly inaugural match will be played on July 27 at 11 am between KAACA and MDJA members.
The valedictory will be held on July 29 at 2 pm. Sri Pattada Maleya Shantamuni Deshikendra Shivacharya Swamiji will grace the occasion. MLA S.A. Ramdas and Mysore University VC Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will distribute the prizes. The winning team will get a cash prize of Rs.50,000 and Rs.25,000 for the runner-up, each with a trophy, he said.
