Cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy to inaugurate Dasara Sports

Indian Women’s Cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy, who was felicitated by Dasara Sports Sub-Committee in city  yesterday, is seen with CESC Sports Secretary Manjunath, DYES Assistant Director Suresh, Palace ACP Shailendra, SP Ravi D. Channannavar and CESC General Manager Satish Kumar.

Mysuru: All-rounder of Indian Women’s Cricket team Veda Krishnamurthy will inaugurate Dasara Sports Meet this time. An invitation in that context was formally extended to her by SP and Dasara Sports Sub-Committee Deputy Special Officer Ravi D. Channannavar, Working President K. Suresh and CESC Managing Director Sathish yesterday at Palace Board Office to inaugurate the sports event on Sept. 21 at Chamundi Vihar stadium.

Veda and her friends were on a visit to the Palace. Receiving the invitation Veda recalled that she used to visit Mysuru along with her father and enjoy Dasara Festival. She said that it would be a momentous occasion to inaugurate Dasara Sports. The sub-committee office-bearers said that along with Veda, another sports person Rajeshwari Gaekwad too would be invited for the inaugural function.
