Criminal activities: Two banished from Chamarajanagar

Chamarajanagar: To ensure smooth conduct of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, two persons involved in criminal activities have been banished from the district by the Assistant Commissioner (AC).

The two persons who were banished are 26-year-old Ruman, a resident of Galipura Layout in the town and 35-year-old Siddaraju, a resident of Onakanapura village near Begur in Gundlupet taluk. The AC has ordered them not to enter the district till June 6.

Ruman has cases pertaining to attempt to murder and prevent Government servant from discharging duty, while Siddaraju has eight cases registered against him.

The two have been sent to Bidar district.
