Crop Insurance for mango growers

The Horticulture Department has invited applications from mango growers coming under 136 Gram Panchayat limits of Mysuru, H.D. Kote, Hunsur, K.R. Nagar, Nanjangud, Periyapatna and T. Narasipur taluks, for Crop Insurance coverage (Rs. 80,000) under Restructured Weather-based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS).The applicant farmers have to remit Rs. 4,000 per hectare as premium and the last date for applying is July 31. Farmers may visit their nearest Bank for premium remittance and other information. Farmers can also register for Crop Insurance through  www.samrakshane.nic.in.
